A notorious rapist-murderer known as the Bat Without Wings who was imprisoned many years previously, suddenlyreappears and abducts and kills Lei Feng (Ouyang Pei-shan), daughter of Security Bureau Chief Lei Hsin (Wang Jung).Suspicion falls on swordsman Hsiao Chi (Derek Yee), so in order to clear his name, he joins Lei Feng’s fiance Han Sheng (Ku Kwun-chung) in the search for the killer. Hsiao is in the meantime also entrusted by Szema Tung-cheng (Ching Li) to trace her missing father Chung Yuan (Ku Feng).Hsiao and his companions set out to see if the Bat has in fact escaped, and experience many spectacular adventures on the way. But the crazy Bat they find lurking in his booby-trapped island prison arouses their doubts. He is clearly not the man they are after.Chung Yuan mysteriously appears in the Bat’s cave.
